Paiseh to show your feet?

Have you ever felt embarassed to take off your shoes because of those ugly cracked heels?

I do lor.

Nah.. Not that my feet are so badly cracked nor they are sooooooooo ‘mm kin tak yan’ but tell me, who doesn’t want baby skin smooth heels right? Moreover chinese new year is around the corner. I want to go pai nin. I cannot be wearing shoes into other people’s house, I cannot ensure I’ll have stockings all the time. So I told myself last week, it’s time to put some effort on it.

So off I went….. jalan jalan and popped into Guardian (again! my favourite store.. I just love checking out the pharmacies.. ) then I found this….

Needless to say, it works. Well, it’s not magic cream and I still don’t have that baby smooth heels like my son’s (blekkk) but it does show a drastic improvement.

In case you’re wondering, sorry.. no ‘before’ and ‘after’ picture here.

Ha ha..

Prevention againts the number #1 killer

I lost a friend to heart disease many years ago. We were not bestest of buddies but we always hang out together after work hours just to get the stress out.

She may not have led the healthiest lifestyle but she came as an ordinary person with ordinary living habits. So when we found out about her passing, we were in shocked. I still remember when we attended her wake, her mother was sharing with us the importance of a healthy lifestyle; eat healthy and stay healthy. It was very sad to hear.

It has been so long that the memory of her kinda faded; until I saw Campbell’s Go Red’s banner which highly publicise the goal of American Heart Association’s Go Red movement; of which reminds me of her. Suddenly I have this urge to spread the awareness of heart disease prevention – all with positive actions and efforts to take care and reduce the risk of heart ailments.

I’m no angel but I’m sharing this in hope with this little awareness out, it helps save a life. What about you?

Leftie or Rightie

Came across this while surfing the net many moons back…. Right Brain vs Left Brain

When I first looked at it, I saw the dancer dancing clockwise (meaning I uses my right brain at that instant – I think quite true) but once I refocussed and start imagining the dancer dancing anti clockwise, in an instant the dancer changes direction. It is definitely not a coincidence because I also tried it out with hubs. We both watched it at the same time but when he sees clockwise, I actually saw anti clockwise, vice versa. *Duh*. Now I believe he is from Mars and I am from Venus…. :P

Back to the workforce?

Aaahhh…. Aaahhh… I have been out of the workforce for 4 months, going into 5 months now. It wasn’t smooth sailing at first as I had such a hard time coping and blending into this new SAHM lifestyle. Hey.. SAHM is not really ‘tai-tai’ lifestyle!!! It comes with heavy responsibility!

Anyway, last week I received a call from a head hunter in KL. Apparently he has this job opportunity for me. Told him about my situation and that I am residing in Singapore now bla bla bla. Period. However, just when I thought I had put an end to it, this headhunter called me back couple days ago and told me company ‘T’ is very keen and is willing to take me in to work in their HQ in Singapore. (I still have not gone for interview but I worked closely with this company when I was with my previous co. So I guess they sort of know me and my credentials. Cehhh..) The package – *drum roll* a hard to resist 6 digit figure a year!!!! I have till tomorrow to think about it. Money is definitely good and very very very tempting but what about my son? Hmm.. I can’t leave him with ’sotong’ (maid) for sure and I also mmm fong sum to leave him in a child care when he’s such a clinging tot at this stage. How how??? *headache*

I Found It!!

Yay!!! I’m sooooo happy. I found a real cool eyeliner that seriously won’t smear, won’t smudge and it simply stays on for hours. I have tried many many many brands of eyeliner – I lost count. They all failed me despite their claim to be the best color stay, waterproof, water resistant etc etc…. Tried putting on foundation prior application, eye base etc … again all futile and I always ended up with a pair of panda eyes within minutes of application. No Joke!

Anyways just before you give up… do give this a shot. I’ve tried it and it WORKS wonder, with reasonable price too! Good things do come cheap. :D

Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner (I bought for SGD14.90 here)
